Hello and welcome to All Things Travel. Does your travel wishlist seem like it's endless? Did you know you could plan a trip to go around the world? Today, we're gonna introduce you to three trip types that take you all over the world in just one vacation.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Listen in with travel advisors and destination experts. Ryan and Julie. I'm your travel professor teaching you everything you need to know to have a magical vacation. And she's a Disney loving Maryland mom of three and a specialist in family travel. Whether we're discussing incredible destinations, top vacation tips, or sharing personal stories, it's always, all things travel.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Okay, so today's topic is really fun, Ryan. This is around the world, vacations, and I feel like a lot of people don't know about these

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

people are showing them on world cruises and they kind of get popular. they just look amazing. I mean, just the ability to see all these things that we're talking about in one go round, literally and figuratively is amazing.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I really feel like, and maybe it's just because I'm in the travel industry and those things are on my social media there's still this big focus on travel and making it more accessible to more people. I just see so many more families traveling a lot when their kids are younger and for a longer period of time. I just think that wasn't something that happened a generation ago, or even two generations ago. Like I feel like it's an up and coming thing where people are really trying to travel and explore, and see new cultures a lot more what they used to do. And I don't know if that is still like. a post covid thing or, or what? but I see a lot of that

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah, I definitely think, there's now this idea of I'm gonna travel now, I'm gonna take advantage now. and when I say I, I mean our family, you know, our family's gonna take advantage of this now where I think you're right, it wasn't too long ago where you had to wait to take these trips that's just all gone. so we're gonna talk about three amazing options here today. I'm so excited. I'm really excited about the second option'cause this is just my thing. But before we do that, I wanna remind folks that last week on all things travel, we talked about the advantages and considerations for shoulder seasons. So traveling during the less popular times to really maximize maybe the weather, maximize maybe your costs and. not fight with as many crowds. All right, Julie, so you have a really, really cool trip. and I want to hear all about it.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

the first one we're gonna talk about is the ultimate world cruise, and this cruise is through Royal Caribbean. Various cruise lines have their version of this one.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

yeah.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

wanna highlight this one because I think this is something that would appeal to so many people. so for this year, the Ultimate World Cruise is taking place on the Serenade of the Seas, which is one of Royal Caribbean's, smaller and older ships. But that is why it's perfect for this type of cruise. This is not going to be a cruise where you've got a ton of water slides and a ton of people on board. It's gonna be a little bit of a more intimate experience, and you're gonna be spending a ton of time. Off of the ship. This cruise is scheduled for 274 nights. But it's broken into segments

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yep.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

makes these experiences and these cruises around the world. Feel like they're more accessible and feel like it's something that you could do.'cause maybe one year you do one segment and another year you do another segment. If you can't fathom traveling for 274 nights on a cruise ship, maybe you break it into segments. you can either do the whole thing or just pick a corner of the globe For the Royal Caribbean Cruise, each of those segments is gonna be about a 60 night voyage. So still a long time, but really

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah, sure.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

two to three months max

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

when you think about the snowbirds, and all the grandparents flocking to Florida for the winter months, that's pretty much the same travel timeframe. if you do choose to do this entire cruise, you'll see eight world wonders and over 60 countries, which is

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Amazing.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

So the first segment is the Ultimate Americas. This year, it takes place from December the 10th to February 11th. I'm gonna highlight a couple of the countries you're gonna go to here. you'll hit Mexico, Aruba, Barbados, a couple stops in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, Argentina, including Falls, Falkland Islands, and even Antarctica. You'll also make it to Peru to see Machu Picchu Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and end up in western Mexico.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

How amazing is this?

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Right. And so there you already have that, one of those wonders of the worlds. With Machu Picchu.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

You are in one cruise, in the Caribbean,

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

you are in South America, Antarctica, and ending up back in Mexico.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah, I had to reread this list a couple of times because I was like, Antarctica, is that really what they mean? because it just was so crazy to me to go from the Caribbean and make it to Antarctica all in one trip. All. The next segment is from February 11th through May 9th, and this is the ultimate Asia Pacific portion. This one's gonna depart from la. You are gonna go down to Hawaii first and do a couple islands in Hawaii. Then you'll make your way to towards the French Polynesia, thinking Tahiti and Maria. You'll make your way to New Zealand and Australia including a stop to see the great barrier Reef chain. You'll also head towards Asia over to see Indonesia, the Philippines, China, including Beijing, the Great Wall of China, Hong Kong, and Taipei. A couple of stops in Japan including Mount Fuji, Osaka, Okinawa, and Nagasaki. And then over to South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai. I mean, there's so many stops.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

go to the Taj Mahal on this portion. So even just thinking about that, Ryan going from, you know, Hawaii and all those Polynesia islands and then all the way over to all through Asia is amazing. Our next portion is May 9th to July 10th, this is the ultimate Africa and Southern Europe. This one departs from Dubai, and you're gonna hit a couple of the islands over there first. like Marus Reunion Island, and then make your way to South Africa, including a stop in Cape Town. you'll hit Namibia, Angola, Ghana, the Canary Islands, make your way up to Europe to see the uk, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, and a couple stops in France, and again, I'm not even saying all the countries for

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Right. you're doing an overview. Sure.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Yes. last section, feels the most intensive to me. It's July 10th to September 10th, which feels really doable. it's ultimate Europe and beyond. you're starting in Spain, make your way to Morocco, Portugal, Ireland, France, England. All the way around that area and the Netherlands, down to Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and then back over to New York, Bermuda, and The Bahamas. I can't believe you would see. these places at one time. and I love that. Then they also are like, and a stop it. Perfect day at Coco K. is like you see all these crazy exotic places and then you come back to the one that you see on all the commercials.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Julie, when you were talking, I was counting on the list. Here you see a total on this leg of the trip, you see 20 countries?

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

the ultimate Europe one.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yep. Yep, yep.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

And that's just from July 10th to September 10th, which feels like a really doable timeframe. are three of those countries on your must see list? And how long would you plan to go see those three countries maybe? A week or two at a time, like you might as well book a portion of a world cruise at that point. the really cool thing is yes, I mentioned Greece Italy and France. It's not like you're stopping in Rome and moving on, you're stopping at three or four or five places in some of those sought after countries like that, you're getting a really intensive experience.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah, I absolutely love it because, you can do the whole thing and just have a, a life changing experience. Or you can say, I wanna focus on this area and really take advantage of what Ro Caribbean has already put together for you. Well, before we move on to Several other world options. I wanna talk about where in the world is all things travel, and as I looked at new locations this week, Julie Long Beach, California popped up

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Ooh.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Long Beach is well known for the ocean and the shoreline. one of the things I thought connected with travel here that along the waterfront they have the RMS Queen Mary I. docked there and I thought that'd be a fun little connection to travel. So I want to meet our listener there, maybe have some tea, have a fancy dinner. the aquarium of the Pacific is there too, and I think that'd be a lot of fun.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

That sounds awesome.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Alright. Hey Long Beach, do us a favor, reach out to us. You can do that on our website, all things travel podcast.com because I would love to send a little thank you to Long Beach for being featured on the show. Alright, Julie, so I actually just wrote about this world trip in my newsletter last week that I sent to my clients and folks that are interested in travel. And I gotta tell you, I am, I'm saying this here now. I am starting a Kickstarter campaign on this podcast to send me on this trip. So anybody who is inspired, who says Ryan needs to do this and I wanna put my money where my mouth is, I am taking donations. I'm sure Julie could figure out how to add a donation button to our website because listeners, I will do this for you.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

You'll report back.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

So this is the 2026 Rivers of the World Cruise. So kind of what Julie was talking about, but in segments of river cruising and we know how much I've fallen in love with River cruising. Uniworld is one of our fantastic river cruise partners. Very high level of service, very high level of luxury. Everything's included. This is just an amazing trip. to celebrate their 50th anniversary, they are going to have a 50 night Rivers of the World cruise that begins in Belgium and ends in Jordan. Yes, you heard that right? It begins in Europe and ends in the Middle East. So let me talk about this. It's broken up into five parts. And I know four of them, and there's very interesting reason that, I don't know, the fifth, So April 16th, you're starting part one. And this is a 10 night, crew starting in Brussels. And it goes through Antwerp, it goes through Belgium, it goes through the Netherlands, and you have tulip time. Then part two, Julian, this is one of the reasons I love Uniworld. There are seven night cruise that comes after this is a mystery cruise, and Uniworld is known for doing this and their loyal fans absolutely love it. So it's a seven night cruise, but you don't know where. And you don't know on what ship and they're going to give you clues all along the way of what you're gonna be doing. But for seven nights, you are going to be cruising somewhere and you're gonna end up in Paris. How fun.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I think that is so funny. I think that is just so cool. that tells me that you don't really need to worry about planning. Right. That takes the stress off of, do I have excursions? those kind of things.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Absolutely. a company like Uniworld is gonna be able to look for really special things to make that seven nights. Cool. The third part then, because we're in Paris, that's what the next section is all about. So we are doing the sin through Normandy Countrysides. We're seeing Leon, which is the, culinary capital of France, that's a seven night cruise. then from Leon, we have a 10 night river cruise moving more south through Burgundy and Provence. So you're just going to eat your way through Europe, then you're making your way down towards the Mediterranean, and you have a three night stay at a Mediterranean resort. then you make your way to Cairo. They actually transfer you, fly you over to Cairo. How amazing. I.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Right.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

And then this is the unique one at least when we think of river cruising. part five is a 16 night river cruise, Egypt to Jordan. the world cruise begins with five nights at a luxury hotel in Cairo. So you're seeing all of the chiro sites, the pyramids, the hinx. You're learning all about history there. And then you'll venture down the Nile River to explore ancient temples with expert Egyptologists. you are ending your time going to Jordan. So I bet there's Petra there and there's just gonna be an amazing once in a lifetime journey.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

the thing I love about this river cruise option is that yes, you're on a river cruise. Cruise for a good period of time, but it's also mixed in with flights from this

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah,

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

that

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

ho Hotel stay. Hotel stays, yes.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I think that's a great way to break up the trip a little bit because one of my concerns would definitely be, I be on a cruise for that many days?

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah,

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

the

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

well,

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

and stuff like that. Like it would just be nice, like though that change of accommodation sounds great.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

absolutely. And you think about it, all of those legs of the trip are on a different ship. So, you know, you're, you're, you're changing and really, you think about 50 nights, that's a month and a half. So yes, it's a world cruise, but it's a much more manageable timeframe if you really want to lace all these together.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I mentioned this a little with Royal Caribbeans, world Crews. if you have a couple of these rivers on your travel wishlist to do a river cruises, how much longer time-wise is it to just do the whole thing here? probably not that much of a difference if you're already flying over there.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Agreed,

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

All right, so the last. Around the world. Option is the Adventures by Disney Private Jet Adventure. this doesn't currently have a date available for booking, but I still wanna highlight it because I do think it will be back. adventures by Disney has been really advertising their private jet adventures When they announced this a couple of years ago, I think it was first announced in 2023, it sold out immediately. this is a 24 day, 23 night Disney parks around the world. Private jet adventure. You're gonna fly on a VIP configured jet. operated by Iceland Air. You are gonna go to all the Disney parks. Anaheim, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Paris, and Orlando.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yes, yes.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

a lot of other stops along the way, but some of the highlights of those other stops are India and Egypt, where you'll see the Taj Mahal and the pyramids and the Sphinx. you're gonna be staying at five star accommodations around the world, which if you know much about adventures by Disney from our previous episodes, you know that that is such a special experience They always have the top of the line and they always take really great care of you.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

They absolutely do.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

You are gonna have a rare opportunity to stay at Summit Skywalker Ranch, which is an exclusive wine country retreat. you're gonna have all the adventures by Disney inclusions that clients who do these types of vacations are used to. You're gonna have your adventure guides and your local experts the finest accommodations. That aspect of storytelling that Disney loves, there's going to be adventure experiences for everyone. Exclusive access to venues and VIP experiences, superior service with hassle-free travel. And you're also gonna have your adventure guys and the same flight crew throughout. So they're gonna get to know you, and you're gonna get to know them. These have been three really, really fun vacations to talk about, and I hope that somebody got inspired to take one of these and

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

Yeah.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

ask us to go with'em or tell us all about it because these are really amazing experiences.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

So I'll make a deal here. Julie, if we have a listener, reach out and book one of these trips. They have a free guest spot on our podcast to come talk about their experience

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

Right.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:

an exclusive. Invitation to come speak about their experience on our podcast.

j_1_03-24-2025_200511:

I love that.

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511:
